- fond out what these properties of image file types mean:
- Pixel Dimensions - are the number of pixels wide and the number of
pixels tall of a sensor. They are multiplied to find the total number of
pixels on a sensor
- DPI resolution (dots per inch) - It is a term used most frequently
and
accurately when talking about printing. DPI will also be used when
discussing digital image quality and screen resolution. Generally
speaking, a higher DPI means a higher quality print, image or screen
resolution.
- quality (of an image) - image quality is the ability of the gear,
in the hands of a capable user, to deliver exactly the image the user
desires.
- compression settings -is a necessity when capturing and editing footage, but the range of 'codecs' can be bewildering.
